It's been quite a year so far for all of us here at JustinMcClure.tv. We'd like to share a few highlights from some of our recent work and catch you up on some of the latest news from the studio.

The renovations are just about complete at the new studio, and our moving date is coming none too soon since we recently welcomed Ryan Gallet, Trey Morgan, Brandon Duncan and Brandon Waltman to the studio.

Here are a few details about some of the rad stuff we've wrapped up over the last few months.

CMT 2010 CMT Music Awards

The June 9th premier of the 2010 CMT Music Awards drew three million viewers and set a network record for viewership of an awards event. We were thrilled to be part of the occasion. CMT commissioned JustinMcClure.tv to design fifteen wallpapers to play on continuous loop on stage during the event. The goal was to create something that would keep up with the tempo of the show and add energy to the evening while not taking attention away from guests like Kid Rock, which is nearly impossible.

Life's Not A Game LIFE

...unless of course you've downloaded the new Game of Life app for the iPhone and iPod Touch. A few months back we had the chance to work with Creative Asylum to create a commercial for the new Game of LIFE app developed by the folks at EA/Hasbro. The spot was designed with an Apple-esque feel in which the iPhone was passed from hand to hand while the game was being played. It is currently the sixth best selling board game on the App Store.

Butler CC Butler

We recently wrapped an amazing broadcast spot for Butler Community College. By combining stop motion and hand-drawn illustration we were able to develop a truly unique spot that everyone involved with is very proud of. It was shot on a Canon 7D, using the incredibly effecient 8 fps continuous shot setting. We handled all of the shooting, editing and post-production for the spot in-house. It is currently airing on many local stations and can also be viewed on our site.

This project really puts into perspective where JustinMcClure.tv is at right now and where we are headed in the future. To see the quality of work coming from the team we've put together, both inside of our studio walls and from without, is inspiring.

Graphex 41

May was a stellar month for us here at the studio and it was capped off by a great night at the Graphex 41 regional awards show, hosted by the Art Directors Club of Tulsa in Tulsa Oklahoma. The event was held this year at the Center for Creativity at Tulsa Commu- nity College and there was a lot of great work from around the Midwest on display.

We are happy to announce that we swept the Motion Graphics category, winning four awards for our work on The Washington Nationals in-stadium package, the Brothers and Company Kansas Strong campaign, the Amelia Island campaign commissioned by MMG Worldwide as well as our 2009 Demo Reel.

Layla Grace Foundation

The story of Layla Grace is quite an amazing one, and her fight with neuroblastoma cancer is inspiring. Unfortunately, Layla was taken from this earth on March 9th, 2010. Her parents, family and friends who love her dearly have committed to carrying out Layla’s legacy and they continue to fight neuroblas- toma, along with its victims and their families. Their efforts go towards raising funds to support research and raise awareness of those affected by the disease.

We are proud to be working to develop a new iden- tity and online presence for the Layla Grace Children’s Cancer Research Foundation. It is an honor for us to be working side by side with the Marsh family on this endeavor.

Sprint

Earlier this year we were back hard at work for Two West. We created several 3D animations for their in-store ribbon monitor setups. The animations high- lighted Sprint’s recent move to their 4G network, their objectives for customer service and their new Overdrive Mobile Hotspot. We assembled a great team of designers and 3D artists to create something that everyone was extremely proud of.

Ad Fed Rising Star
Rising Star
Justin McClure at the 2010 Wichita Addys with Silver Medal Recipient Al Higdon.

In May Justin spoke to members of the AdFed of Wichita organization. It was a great opportunity for him to discuss what it meant to be named Wichita’s Rising Star at the 2010 Wichita Addy Awards. His presentation included a break down of the creative process and the importance of involving clients in each step of the process.
